The Shepinois (aka Malinois X or German Malinois) is not a purebred dog; It is a cross between the German Shepherd and the Belgian Malinois. The breed combination characteristics of the parent breeds result in a canine that is an intelligent, good-natured, level-headed, energetic protector of its beloved human family.
The parent breeds excelled in working as shepherding dogs in the past and continue to be utilized in police and military areas. Their low maintenance and good-natured temperament make them excellent family dogs as well.
The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed.
